Jean Frenette is an amazing martial artist, and in this book he shows you streching exercises for combat sports. You will learn proper warm up, breathing etc. Stretching programs are also included.
I think this book makes confusing... A lack of describtion for each exercise is a big disadventage!!!!
All in all, this book is very good and the author has perfect flexibility!! However this is not the best book (about this issue)on the market.....

Amazon.com Review
A peaceful, tropical world is the setting for Morning Girl, a simple yet rich glimpse into the lives of a young sister and brother. Morning Girl and Star Boy grapple with timeless, universal issues such as experiencing simultaneous anger and love toward family members and the quest to discover the true self. As all siblings do, these children respond to, play off of, and learn from each other. Precisely where Morning Girl and Star Boy are growing up is not revealed, but it's clearly a place where the residents have no modern amenities. Living in harmony with nature is a necessary priority here, and--given the descriptive names of the characters--a Native Indian culture seems likely. But not until the epilogue do readers discover that the story takes place in 1492. Suddenly we realize that the strange-looking visitors Morning Girl welcomes to shore are not as harmless as they may appear. The excerpt from Christopher Columbus's journal provides an ominous footnote: these gentle people, who seem so very much like us, will not be permitted their idyllic existence much longer.

From Publishers Weekly
Youthful brother and sister narrators are a great choice to interpret Dorris's novel, written from the point of view of Morning Girl and Star Boy, two Taino siblings living on a Bahamian island in 1492. A string of images of everyday life and the dynamics between family members introduce listeners to what this part of the world was like before the arrival of Christopher Columbus. Eliza and Riley achieve a commendably comfortable level with the text, something that is sure to appeal to many young listeners. Riley's boyish, high-pitched voice and sometimes excitable tone is perfect for the classic "rambunctious little brother" role. In a brief epilogue (narrated by Terry Bregy), Dorris signals the arrival/encroachment of European explorers. The way this text and recording bring alive a lesser-known side of a well-studied bit of world history may well spark discussion in classrooms and family kitchens. Ages 8-up. (Jan.)

From School Library Journal
Grade 3-6–Young sister and brother team Eliza and Riley Duggan bring sincerity and heart to their portrayal of 12-year-old Morning Girl and her younger brother Star Boy, two children living on a Bahamian Island in 1492 (Hyperion, 1992). Michael Dorris's lyrical language rolls off the tongues of the two young narrators, who bring the hopes, everyday lives, and petty sibling rivalry of the two protagonists—each named for the time of day that they love best—to life. Hints of change come at the end of the story, when Morning Girl encounters strangers on the beach—revealed in the epilogue read by Terry Bregy to be members of Christopher Columbus's crew. This gentle story reveals the rhythms of life on the island before the Europeans came, showing listeners the richness of the islanders' lives.–Kathleen Kelly MacMillan, Maryland School for the Deaf, Columbia

A story of sibling rivalry and family ties
By Michael J. Mazza
"Morning Girl," by Michael Dorris, is a short novel that is told in the first person by two of its characters, Morning Girl and her brother Star Boy. The chapters alternate between these characters' two voices. The children live with their parents in an island village; their community has a pre-industrial culture.
Morning Girl and her brother have the type of conflict you might expect between a sister and her sometimes annoying younger brother. This relationship is explored against the backdrop of the children's culture and the island setting. I particularly liked the character of Star Boy: he's experiencing some emotional growing pains as he yearns for respect while still engaging in some childish actions. An important theme in the book is the naming tradition of the children's culture.
Dorris writes in a clear, poetic prose style that is touched by a mystical element. And don't miss the startling epilogue which pulls the whole story into focus.

Pure Poetry!
By A Customer
Instead of reading this book for plot, try reading it as a poem, in book form. The book paints emotions and images and experiences that are wonderful to feel. These things are so much more important than the plot, in which the Spanish don't show up until the last five pages. This is a book about naming and being and growing up. It is excellent for adults (I agree that this is not exactly a children's book, although some children might understand it) who are dreamers, who dream of becoming a rock or a breath of wind.

Understanding Mineral Deposits, by Kula Misra

Mineral deposits have supplied useful or valuable material for human consumption long before they became objects of scientific curiosity or commercial exploitation. In fact, the earliest human interest in rocks was probably because of the easily accessible, useful (e. g. , red pigment in the form of earthy hematite) or valuable (e. g. , native gold and gemstones) materials they contained at places. In modem times, the study of mineral deposits has evolved into an applied science employing detailed field observations, sophisticated laboratory techniques for additional information, and computer modeling to build complex hypotheses. Understanding concepts that would someday help geologists to find new mineral deposits or exploit the known ones more efficiently have always been, and will continue to be, at the core of any course on mineral deposits, but it is a fascinating subject in its own right, even for students who do not intend to be professional economic geologists. I believe that a course on mineral deposits should be designed as a "capstone course" that illustrates a comprehensive application of concepts from many other disciplines in geology (mineralogy, stratigraphy and sedimentation, structure and tectonics, petrology, geochemistry, paleontology, geomorphology, etc. ). This book is intended as a text for such an introductory course in economic geology, primarily for senior undergraduate and graduate students in colleges and universities. It should also serve as a useful information resource for professional economic geologists.

Review
`However, it should serve as an excellent information resource for professional economic geologists, and for others wishing to become acquainted with a particular deposit type, or method of interpretation.'
Mineralium Deposita, 36:707 (2001)
`The diverse geological settings of metallic ore deposits and the varied methods used in assessing their genesis make writing a comprehensive textbook on ore deposits a formidable challenge. Kula Misra has met that challenge and produced a first-rate book that reviews the techniques employed in ore deposit research and summarize the geological and geochemical characteristics and origins of selected classes of metallic ore deposits. In a field that generates new data daily, Understanding Mineral Deposits is up-to-date useful. With this book he has succeeded in high-lighting the multidimensional nature of economic geology. It is also an excellent reference for professional geologists and a useful txt for senior-or graduate level course in metallic mineral deposits.'

Easily the Best Book on Dreamweaver, Ever.
By Brian M. Stoppee
This is the 110th “Adobe Classroom in a Book” volume which we have carefully studied, including all 7 of them for Dreamweaver (Dw). The first one for CS3: Dw 9.0 was simple and incomplete. The second one (CS4: Dw 10.0) was challenging where it didn’t need to be. When Jim Maivald took over the Dw CIB series for CS5: Dw 11.0, the learning doors flew wide open. We had some technical issues with the previous edition (Dw CC: 13.0). We’re not saying that something was wrong with that edition. The challenge was with something otherwise fabulous: Adobe keeps updating the app, with new features. That’s what Creative Cloud (CC) apps are supposed to do. Adobe has promised to make them better and better, every few months. However, following lessons to the letter, in CIB, or any other structured education, was made a little more difficult by the frequent updates.

Why an Adobe Professional Needs This Book
We’ve been designing websites for twenty years. Our first client was NBC News. That makes us web/mobile gurus, right?

Nothing could be further from the truth. The internet and mobile devices are a huge technology, which we’ll never be able to claim that we have mastered.

We are a couple Adobe Community Professionals (ACPs). We run an Adobe/Apple Authorized Training Center which is in partnership with the Virginia higher education system. We do our best to study all 16 of the core desktop apps which come with the full Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. That’s no small effort, in itself.

We know many people who work in Dreamweaver who know more about the app than us. Many have been using it longer than we have. Adobe Dreamweaver goes back to the days of Macromedia. While Macromedia’s Dw was focusing on the needs of web developers, Adobe had beat Macromedia to the market with a more designer oriented PageMill and when Macromedia continued to gain marketshare, Adobe acquired GoLive. The designers in us signed onto those two now defunct Adobe products.

To set the stage, Adobe launched Muse CC, as a very designer-oriented web design app, which we once were greatly disappointed in, and now admire. Some of the Muse team used to work on InDesign. Muse is a very different deal than Dreamweaver. To do great in-depth web/mobile work, you have to get under the hood with code. Muse isn’t in that business. It’s all visual implementation.

However, to make it more interesting, if you want to do world-class web development, you do not have to have Adobe Dreamweaver to do it. This is unlike how Adobe Photoshop is at the foundation of pixel-based graphics, or Adobe InDesign owns publishing, or Adobe Illustrator has a grip on vector graphics.

We’ve seen internet coders operate huge corporate websites with no more software than the free text editors that Apple and Microsoft include in their operating systems. Those people have no need for Dreamweaver. Yes, Dw has huge tools for them, but, for some (not all) of them, it’s not their software of choice, even though Dreamweaver has no monster app competitors.

Why’s that important in relationship to this book?

We want you to understand something. There’s a certain kind of Dw user. That means there’s a certain kind of reader that this CIB reaches out to. Since you can subscribe to the monthly Adobe CC deals and get all those 16 core desktop apps, and a whole bunch more, there are long-range users of other CC apps who now want to get on board with Dw. They might also be coming to Dreamweaver CC after working with Muse CC.

A little over a year ago, Adobe changed-up Adobe Flash Professional, once again, and jumped into HTML Canvas. That too opened the door, in a small way, to Dw. Adobe also introduced a rag-tag group of little “Edge” apps, not all of which (well… hardly any of which) have really garnered much love from the CC subscribers. In fact, Adobe discontinued work on one of them, so far. Nevertheless, it’s the job of this book’s publisher, Adobe Press, part of the Peachpit Press family, to touch on what some users may need to know.

Does this mean that Adobe Press is in the business of promoting Adobe apps, through these books? We have heard those allegations before. What CIBs do well is prepare readers for getting their certification in Adobe apps. Doing that requires you to know a few things about other Adobe apps. Hence, we have spotted traces of Adobe Edge Animate in this book. But, that doesn’t mean it’s in here to promote it.

Our Disclaimers
The author of this book is no stranger to us. Many well-known authors, instructors, and presenters for creative professionals are buddies of ours. We cross paths with this book’s author. Like many of our fellow ACPs, we interact with plenty of people at Adobe, chat it up on our websites and social media venues, etc., etc. That said, when it comes to speaking our minds on educational materials, some of these “buddies” of ours need to run for cover when we speak our minds on their work.

Another disclaimer is that there are 3 big publishers of books for creative professionals. With three books of our own and making annual contributions to the books of others, we work with all those publishers. Pearson Educational, which owns Peachpit Press, asked us to do some technical editing on this book, and, we were too busy to accept the offer.

Though we hear about restaurants or hotels paying people to write reviews about their businesses, without ever having been there, none of those three publishers have ever paid us, or anyone we know, a penny to write a review, especially since some of our reviews can be very direct.

Chapter 1 - Customizing Your Workspace
Let’s get started. For a web design newbie, this might be the most important chapter in the book. If you’re used to any of the CC apps like Illustrator (Ai), InDesign (Id), Muse (Mu), and/or Photoshop (Ps), you have gotten comfortable with the UI (user interface). When you first open Dreamweaver, it’s okay to think, “Huh?” Dw not only fails to resemble those other CC apps, it doesn’t even look like it’s something from this century. We and many of our technology friends have battered the Dreamweaver team about that, over and over again.

This chapter breezes right passed that and gets down to work with the usual Design View/Code View and the sometimes popular Split View, plus the now pumped-up Live View (slow down to study the latter). The book smoothly guides you through this before getting into how the usual CC panels work.

If you have been around Dw, before, put on the brakes at page 26. This is where it goes into the new Extract panel. This is where you bring in content from Photoshop, a cool panel which Adobe teams will surely expand upon to create a cohesive experience over a few CC apps.

If your brain starts to feel a little boggled, you might want to take a break before going on to the Property Inspector panel on page 30. From this point forward, some more of HTML and CSS starts to crawl in. You need to know this, but clear your mind so you are clear on this.

Old hands at web projects and all things Adobe CC can finish this chapter in 20 or 30 minutes. Newbies should not rush through this. You must understand every paragraph.

Chapter 2 - HTML Basics
There was a time when you could shelter the web designers from HTML coding. As previously mentioned, Adobe created Muse (Mu) from scratch. Doing the heavy-lifting of today’s web/mobile design cannot happen without getting your hands HTML dirty.

How complex can learning HTML be?

It one of those “acquired tastes.” There’s a difference between understanding the coding basics and expecting someone to hand code a website. Fear not, this book doesn’t expect you to build a car, just know how to inflate the tires, check the oil, and be sure there’s some gas in the tank.

This chapter does its best to be as gentle as possible with the reader. It’s a mile-marker chapter. If you’re not HTML-tested, you might want to set aside a couple hours for this. Nothing about it is demanding. Take it slow. If you are someone who feels a need to know every word on every page, you look at the tags on page 56, and don’t understand half of it, it’s okay.

Should the chapter leave you feeling set back, take a break, come back the next day. If it still seems daunting, rethink if Dw is right for you. Ask yourself if Mu is a better possibility. But, we suggest you at least work through chapter 5 before you considering baling out.

If the first chapter made you think, “I can do all of this in Design View,” please know that you might be able to get by that way for a while. That’s primarily how we work. However, we now touch up code a little everyday. 3 or 4 years ago we could go a month without looking at Code View.

Chapter 3 - CSS Basics
By the end of 1997, Macromedia launched Dreamweaver 1.0. It was originally talked down by many as being too tied to coding. Some claimed that boring websites came from Dreamweaver since the program was so tied cascading style sheets (CSS). As the underlying code of the internet developed, CSS was firmly rooted in the best practices of most significant web presences.

We mention all of this because to some people who are not well versed on web technology it would seem CSS3 is something you might be able to skip. Some new InDesign (Id) users skip paragraph styles and character styles, all the time.

Websites need to play nicely with web browsers. Using CSS is both the best way to do that, while opening yourself up to a fabulously exciting array of powerful opportunities to make sweeping changes to entire websites, the way Id does to huge documents.

Dw CIB uses all the best conventions for teaching CSS. Then it goes a few steps further employing visuals and concepts which are better than most we’ve seen. It takes the reader through an excellent explanation of what CSS is all about:

Again, don’t allow this to discourage you if you are not understanding every single item covered. By way of example, we appreciate how the book starts taking you through the theories of cascading, inheritance, descendance, and specificity. It’s well explained with good examples, however, this slowed down some newbies, in previous editions of this book. As you get more and more used to Dreamweaver, when things don’t seem to be working with your web pages, these pages will become much appreciated reference sections.

The book claims you’ll need 2 hours for this. We know people who wanted to learn all things Dw CIB. It took them better than 3 hours, in a few separate short sessions.

Chapter 4 - Web Design Basics
We applauded this chapter when it first appeared in the CS5 edition as a much bigger chapter. The lack of this is the downfall of many web-based educational resources.

Even if you are not a designer, you need this chapter. Think of it as well thought-through organization. Don’t let it concern you if you feel you are not inclined toward pencil and paper layouts. Anyone can do doodles

The focus has been on smart planning for smooth execution. By the time you complete this chapter, you will have created a page in Dw.

Added to this edition is work with Adobe Generator, an important part of the design process. We have a feeling that you’ll be hearing more and more about Generator, so please do not skip that section, either.

Chapter 5 - Creating a Page Layout
For those books which mimic a users manual, this is where they get started. Of course, CIB has used 128 pages to introduce you to how you get to this point where you begin to build a page. In our minds, that’s the essential pathway.

Though you have learned a few things about CSS Designer, already, here’s where you get down to business. Currently, the CSS Designer panel is foundational to using Dw from the vantage point of taking visual control. Toss a bookmark into page 144 as a future reference page to the CSS Designer panel.

Some of this CIB talks about Edge web fonts. To us, Adobe’s Typekit makes more sense for CC subscribers. Admittedly, Typekit is discussed, too.

We do greatly appreciate the amount of space which has been devoted to type. Other books focus more on the technology of Dw than teaching how to create great visuals. That’s where this CIB excels.

Chapter 6 - Designing for Mobile Devices
Don’t skip this chapter by thinking, “All I need to do is design web pages. The mobile thing isn’t for me.” Understanding how you adapt a website to a mobile device could easily drift into your future. In developing for the internet, you always want to have in the back of your mind how you’ll adapt to a mobile app.

Chapter 7 - Working with Templates
Some well-known Dreamweaver educators tell us not to bother teaching templates. They don’t see them as relative to advanced web development. We would not consider pulling templates from site development any more than we would from any other app. Templates are a powerful feature.

This is proven on page 210 where the lesson looks at taking embedded style sheets and moving them out to an external file. Make some changes to your external CSS and it’ll not only ripple across an entire website but it could change the look of a series of sites which reflect a single branding, over thousands and thousands of pages.

Such power sounds big and complex but this CIB shows how simple changes make huge changes.

If reading this does not convince you, or the power has not sunk in, when you get to page 220 and the lesson turns to child pages, it should begin to make sense.

Chapter 8 - Working with Text, Lists, and Tables
Some people will try to tell you that internet tables are something leftover from twenty years ago.

Have you received a visually-based e-mail, today? Chances are, it was created using tables. So, yes, the table on a web page does go back to when the internet was rooted in research universities. However, creative minds will discover how to use them to do some very cool things.

It’s true that this chapter is rooted in technologies which took hold in the previous century, yet they are made interestingly new again in this book. Unless we told you it was old school made fresh, you may have never known it. But be aware of this and that others may question your use of tables and lists.

Pay no attention to them and just do cool work.

Chapter 9 - Working with Images
This is one of those CIB chapters which could become a book of its own. Squeezing this into just 27 pages means it only gives you the basics, but it’s an admirable and inspiring job of it.

Some people have their way of using Dreamweaver for doing things with images. This chapter tries to offer as many of the available options as possible. Page 292 gets into the realities of higher resolution devices. However, missing from the drag and drop section is the use of Adobe Bridge, one of those cases in point of how much cannot be squished into a single CIB anymore. But, that doesn’t prevent you from exploring this on your own.

Chapter 10 - Working with Navigation
Haven’t you already done all this hyperlink stuff? Well, you did get a taste of it but now it’s time to apply that into how the website visitors find their way around, smoothly getting from one place to another.

All of that could get tedious, on a big website. Knowing navigation, as second nature, is essential. You need to keep your head in the game, so study this carefully.

Yes, interactivity has evolved and yes there are sexier ways of handling this. However, this chapter provides you with the basics which must be learned. Study this one carefully, especially the jQuery and widgets.

Chapter 12 - Working with Web Animation and Video
From the first sentence on page 364, the author imparts great knowledge on the topic of animation and video on the internet. This is something akin to knowing what happens in the photographic darkroom days before comprehending what printing in Photoshop is all about.

You’ll hear plenty of stories about how this ought to be done. Unless you have the complete picture, you will not be able to make wise decisions of your own. This chapter is a rapid fire day in an intense college master class. Fortunately, you can devour it at your own speed.

Chapter 13 - Publishing to the Web
We are not the first people to say that managing a website in Dreamweaver is an archaic, painful process. There’s no way this CIB can make what is clunky and in sore need of Adobe’s redesign a fun chapter.

The fact that this is a book and not a working website makes this all the more difficult. The reader cannot go through the mundane tasks of pushing projects out to a remote web hosting server from his/her desktop.

We’ve been doing this for around 20 years, when it seemed simple and elegant in GoLive. Getting used to it in Dreamweaver did not entail throwing any Macs out the window. Yet, today we can do this in our sleep.

Dreamweaver’s Microsoft Windows 2.0-like Files panel doesn’t make any of this easier. Yet, as the saying goes, “It is what it is.” And, somehow this CIB’s author makes it all seem doable with the teaching expertise of someone who has been in the classroom trenches

Here’s the saving grace: once you’re building a real website and managing one for the first time, this chapter will be your new best friend. It’s your website management user’s manual.

Conclusion
We probably use Dreamweaver more than any other of the 16 core Adobe desktop apps which come with the full CC subscription (around 365 days a year). It’s also very low on our list of favorites. It’s not fun. It’s not creative.

Yet, somehow, the Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014 CIB team not only turned this into a learning experience, which makes Dreamweaver lessons inspiring enough to want to do more. They have clearly made this both the best CIB on Dw, and easily the best book on Dreamweaver, ever.

It’s 5 stars all the way.

Not very helpful if you need to learn it quick!
By Cheri Pieringer
I really, really hate this book. I went through the lessons and they have you take little pieces of code and change them but it was impossible for me to get the whole picture of how the darn thing works. I ended up buying Dreamweaver CC for Dummies which was a little more helpful and got some problems solved for me. I just bought the Dreamweaver CC: The Missing Manual and I'm hoping that will be more helpful. Dreamweaver is typical Adobe product and hard to learn. Powerful as heck, I'm sure...but hard to learn all the functionality. I get especially hung up on the CSS portion of the program and how to use the properties and what they mean/do. The book doesn't provide the help that tells you what each of the pieces mean and the index is worthless for helping troubleshoot an issue with a page because they go through the lessons in a very odd way. I'm taking a college course using Dreamweaver right now for my Masters and the assignments are coming too fast and furious to go at the snails pace this book makes you go.

Outdated, missing key elements; current version is not available.
By Amazon Customer
I am a veteran fan of Adobe's Classroom in a Book series since long before Adobe acquired Macromedia (and thus, Dreamweaver). Historically, the Classroom in a Book series is the best start-up resource for getting people up and running using Adobe software; and, that has not changed with this book on Dreamweaver CC 2014—so, you might wonder why we gave it only a three star rating.

The rating was earned for two reasons:
First: Dreamweaver CC isn't even available any longer. Adobe has moved on to Dreamweaver CC 2015. The Adobe CC series is something that you license and pay for on a monthly or yearly basis. Respectively, when you have an Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) subscription, and Adobe comes out with a new upgrade it is downloaded onto your computer automatically and though (depending on the options you chose for such upgrades, though you may still have access to the old version the advantages of the upgrade will be missed if you don't grow with it. The bottom line: in years of upgrades we have never continued to use the old software after we have access to the new version. The only exception to that has been when the software manufacturer has done something like Adobe did when they went to the CC version of subscription based access. We avoided that move and stuck with the CS6 version until now.

We made the shift to the CC version because of the need to redesign many internet sites to be compatible with the modern world of smart-phone and tablet access to the internet. Because the industry has changed, we had to upgrade. And, though we have hard code system programmers in house, the new Dreamweaver CC 2015 generates easily understandable code and provides one of the best internal coding editors on the market.

Which brings us to this now outdated version of the Classroom in a Book series. Of course, given that there have been so many changes in Dreamweaver CC 2015 many of this books references as to how to do things no longer work as described. Thus, the user has to have enough experience to know how to get past the changes. Thus, for a beginner that hurdle can be too much and the book gets the diminished rating for that fault. Peachpit (Adobe's book publisher) has no intention of keep the lessons or the volume updated because they have announced that the Dreamweaver CC 2015 version of the book will be released in December of this year. And, though that is the best on can expect, that will not do.

Thus, at the very least, this (now outdated volume) should be discounted to reflect is diminished value.

Of course, that is not likely to happen soon due to the fact that this is the best book on the topic.

Second: even if we would have purchased this book and used it for all it is worth prior to the release of Dreamweaver CC 2015, the meat of the book is much more like salad—that is to say, though the author covers simple instructions that help a developer learn how to use some of the new tools for adjusting a page to be compatible with various different size monitors those descriptions do not show how to actually make those adjustments. For example: chapter Six, introduces CSS "Media queries" and well describes their function; but, when it comes to showing how the code works to reduce a website menu to an icon (button) on the screen, that description is completely missing. Thus, though if you have enough experience with coding you can figure it out by comparing the code from various media queries, a book presented as a "Classroom in a Book" should give better detail. Though that is just one example, every chapter of this book is full of that level of omissions. So, though this book will do a good job of helping a veteran coder learn how to use Dreamweaver CC 2014; it will be a bit frustration to such people. And, the beginner, will be completely baffled by such omissions. The y read the book and feel like they have learned something but do they know how to actually develop anything—no unless they simply transform the site presented to one that they can use for their purposes.

The end result: this book is a good start—but, it is likely to stimulate a lot of confusion for developers at any level. If the book were written for the current version of the software we may have given it a four star rating. The book does give a recommendation for reading [[ASIN: B00PMIRROW: Dreamweaver CC: The Missing Manual: Covers 2014 release]] and we are purchasing that book in the hope that it might open the door a little wider.

Again, I am a veteran to the Classroom in a Book series and first started using that series to learn Adobe's Pagemaker desktop publishing software. Now, that was a book deserving five stars! Also, we have to agree with other reviewers of this edition to say that it is the most complete version of the Classroom in a Book series that has been written for Dreamweaver; but, we think the earlier such volumes in this series were better because the software was far less complex; thus, they covered the topic better and left less out. Back in those days, Dreamweaver was no as competent a code generator as it is now. Back then, we would not use Dreamweaver as a primary development tool. It has come of age and is our preferred website coding tool. When we are developing complex websites with multiple developers, we can bring the whole thing up in a development environment and instantly see and test everything. It is awesome. Still, we are not aware of any book that can take you to that level with this software.

The reason we did not give this book fewer stars is because it is well written; and, if you are willing to work through its inapplicability and use whatever other resources to understand the code that is shown completed but missing instructions regarding how that code was developed, then this is the best book we have seen even on the current version of Dreamweaver. And that is the most frustrating part of it all.

One might think that Adobe would have tutorials on its site that would give a leg up on the transition; but, we have not yet seen that. Still, we are thankful for this book and the new version of Dreamweaver. It is the best yet. Welcome to the new world—where the new software has to come out before anyone can get manuals up to speed to help you learn it. It is just another reason for the necessity of always staying up with the last version. We made the jump from Dreamweaver CS6 to Dreamweaver CC 2015 and that was a huge jump — well worth the move. In the end, we wouldn't have wanted to make that jump without this book—so, we gave it three stars.

I enjoyed it.
By Alexa Quinn
This was a very simple book. It's a short story with at least two other installments. This is the first time that I will say I wish all three books had all been combined into one. Together, they'd be about the same length as a Harlequin romance novel.

I read another review that suggested that some of the book should have been from William's point of view. It would have been nice to see another perspective and would have given the story more meat. It's clear that this was not William's first time experiencing a man, so it would have been interesting to see his thought processes in contrast to Jake's first time.

Sadly, it also read like a rough draft. I wish the author had gotten an editor since there were a lot of grammatical errors.

It was a sweet story and I enjoyed it in spite of everything. I don't plan on buying the next two parts due to the price. I don't believe 50 pages is worth $2.99. I still think this one is worth a read if you like the genre and can ignore the drawbacks.

Simplistic but full of grammatical errors
By Amazon Customer
This was an okay story, nothing really revolutionary about it though. It followed the basic guidelines of writing a story and it read like an assignment from Creative Writing 101.

I felt like all the descriptions of military manoeuvres was over done and it should have contained more emotions that Jake was going through. I thought that having William's viewpoint included would have been much better than just a constant list of Jake's insecurities and his inconsistent conflict with the protagonist, Jared.

The best part was when I thought they were going to get caught during War Games, that was suspenseful. And I thought Jared mentioning that the Leaders putting William and Jake together was their version of a love match was interesting. There was something there that should have been explored, it could have turned this story into a book with a genuine concept behind it.

Other than that this story felt generic and with all the grammatical errors it was just okay.

Disappointed
By WLN
After reading and enjoying the writer's "Only for you" short story I was prepared to like this one as well. Instead I found it very lacking. The two main characters were likable but a story as short as this can not let the reader get distracted and the total inaccurate setting had me distracted from the first pages. It is obvious the author has not been through military basic training but he could have done a minimum amount of research or shown it to someone who has had the experience. It would not have taken much to have the setting a little more accurate which would make the premise of the "training exercise" a little easier to accept.

Monica or Monique? A Sexual Journey, by Richard Tang

Why is it that legal secretary Monica Chase has suddenly begun having visions of her living another life? The woman whose eyes she increasingly sees through is Monique, a high-flying lawyer and sexual adventuress. Is Monica’s belief that she is going to receive some premonition, a warning for Monique, correct? Then she encounters Dr. Harcourt, a man who seems to have an explanation: that Monica is tapping into the life she once lived and was taken from her by people who manipulated her mind. Is Harcourt correct and what are his motives in helping Monica? Monica’s own life begins to change, to begin to resemble that of Monique’s with all its sexual exploits. She is faced with a choice of whether to cling to what she knows or allow Harcourt to unleash the changes that he feels are necessary. Monica has to decide whether she is actually Monica or truly Monique.

‘Monica or Monique?’ is a psychological sexual drama in which an ordinary woman is cast into a much more exciting world, not one of fantasy but perhaps her own life that she has forgotten. The novel mixes strong character-driven writing with hot sexual scenes as Monica delves deeper into Monique’s life with all its thrills.

Feedback on the 1st edition:

‘I just finished the first part of the story and I wanted to thank you for it. Very well written in all aspects.’ – Hans E.

‘My only regret with this is that the story is now completed … this comes very highly recommended. A truly wonderful story, and if I did favourite lists (which I don’t!) this would have to be on it’ – Steph M.

A Great Work of Transformative Sex
By Eros' Lover
This is the best work in transformative sex literature that I have ever read. I wish that I could give it more than five stars. Most works of pornography are short and get immediately to the sexual actions. Subtly is never even thought of, let alone tried. In the sexual transformation genre, if the character being changed is a woman, she is almost instantly transformed into some sex-craving bimbo. However in this tale, Tang uses a measured pace. Monica, the central character, is not sure if she even wants to get involved in finding out who Monique is, a person who haunts Monica's dreams. Even the possibility that Monique is actually Monica when she was younger, does not immediately induce her to succumb to the temptation to adopt Monique's sexually adventuresome lifestyle. Monica at times turns her back completely on the idea. But gradually, and thus more realistically, Monica submits to the attraction of being Monique. Additionally, Tang's use of lush, erotic language captures our minds and pulls us into Monica's transformation. By telling the story from the perspective of Monica, we are submerged into her sexual transformation and experience her emergence as an erotic woman.

The story is set in London and follows Monica, a single, introverted twenty-eight year old, with a stifling career, little social life and less sex. What she has experienced of sex has been only mildly exciting and dominated by the man's needs. She is gradually drawn into a new life by the psychologist, Dr. Harcourt. The alter ego that Dr. Harcourt is helping to emerge from, or is it to implant into? Monica is Monique. Bilingual in French and English, Monique is a recent divorcee, cosmopolitan, self-confident and in control in her all that she does, including her active and adventurous sex life. Every step of Monica's transformation is filled with pleasurable dreams of Monique's sexual encounters. The dreams entice Monica to adopt progressively more of Monique's sexual behaviors by rewarding Monica with intense sexual gratification as she dreams of Monique's sexual encounters. A constant theme in each dream is Monique's domination of her male sexual partners. Following each dream, Monica yields to a seemingly irresistible urge to buy fashionable clothing with definite erotic overtones, replicating the style of Monique.

Monica's involvement with clothing is only one of many techniques that Tang's skillfully uses to effect her transformation. This approach succeeds because we all at some level realize that clothing is our second skin and it conditions and reflects so much of our self-image. As we meet Monica, she wears drab, functional clothing, making her socially invisible and sexless. Whether at work or on a date, Monica is interpersonally inept. Her inability to select a reasonably fashionable wardrobe mirrors this aspect of her personality. However, the worldly Monique wears expensive and chic clothing, with rich colors or bold black, definitely revealing of her sexual attributes, and always perfectly suited to the occasion. Monique's attire reflects both her polished social skills and unswerving pursuit of an active sex life. Enticed by her dreams, Monica can't resist wearing progressively more items of clothing favored by Monique. In time, Monica comes to wear sensuous, silken undergarments, tight fitting leather outerwear that embrace and reveal her curvaceous figure, and sexy camisoles that display tempting visions of her ample breasts. The sexual attitudes of Monique are infused into Monica's mind by the erotic feel and bold look of the clothing. Attired in Monique's styled clothing, Monica is filled with an exhilarating sense of assertiveness and a continuous desire for sexual adventures. As Monica's sexual transformation nears its end, she discards her former boring wardrobe and with it all of her outdated sexual attitudes, and now embraces Monique's role as a dominating seductress with an uninhibited desire for sex.

All of that would be good enough, but there is more. Monica/Monique is no mindless bimbo, and in a subplot she pursues a legal career. Monica begins the story as a law school graduate, who has ended up as a legal secretary in a back water legal firm. But her new Monique persona leads her to obtain employment with a prestigious law firm as an international legal counselor. Her income skyrockets, allowing her to afford the lifestyle of the rich, including her extensive wardrobe. Her confidence in her professional capacity supports her sexually dominant personality. The seductress Monica has sex with numerous men, none is her favorite, for she enjoys her time with all of them. In her sexual escapades, Monica is the assertive partner, a predator if the mood fits her. If she decides that she wants sex, then she initiates the action, not the man, she seduces him, and ultimately directs the sex. Even if the man should try to seduce her, she turns the tables on him. Certainly, all the men know who is in charge, but Monica/Monique is not demeaning. She creates the environment and the event, which is always a pleasurable erotic adventure, but she strives and succeeds in giving her partners what they want. All the men come away sexually sated from the encounters.

As the journey nears its end, Monica sees every encounter, be it business or social, as an opportunity to entrap another sexual partner to satisfy her craving for sex and domination. Speaking with delightfully sexy French accent, Monica, who when in public is now always in the guise of Monique, effortlessly flirts with any man to whom she is attracted, and wants and engages in frequent and varied sex, which she controls. Unlike any sexual experiences prior to her involvement with Harcourt, these encounters fill Monica with highly charged sexual energy, which derive both from the erotic sex, and the ego gratification of being a dominatrix. In her final act as Monica, she asks Dr. Harcourt to dissolve the few remaining residuals of her prior self, which he eagerly does. Monique's memories of Monica's life melt away as thoroughly as diaphanous clouds on a bright, sunny morning. Now Monica knows herself only as Monique. Tang has given us a most enjoyable fantasy. Who among us would not wish to be transformed into someone who is rich, elegant, whose eroticism is irresistibly attractive, enjoys sex uninhibitedly, and who dominates our sexual partners?

All that Monique lacks is a fulfilling emotional life. She has no spouse, no family, no friends, only acquaintances. But as the story ends, Monique muses that maybe a little romance in her life would be nice. I hope so. Monique is a very capable woman, it's hard to believe that she cannot get whatever she wants. I am sure that if she chooses to do so, she could transform herself yet again. But that is another story, which perhaps one day Tang will write.
