even better than expected
By Mike
This book is even better than I expected. I was just thinking it would have a few easy examples but instead it has fairly complex examples with good explanations. I think the printed version of the book will be easier to read than the ebook due to the code heavy nature of the book. It's well worth the price and I intend to get the Advanced FAQs as well. Great books if you are already a C++ developer and need to get up to speed on C++ 14.

Great content marred by poor English
By David Jameson
It has the potential to be terrific --- author is clearly very knowledgeable. However, I found the poor English too distracting to focus on the content and in some places it makes some statements ambiguous. Others may not care but if you're someone who gets annoyed by bad grammar such as "solution of exercise" vs "solution to exercise" or misuse of "its" and "it's", you'll be irritated by this book.
I realize that English is probably not the author's first language but if you're going to publish a book in English, then at least have it edited properly.
