Another Emotional Roller Coaster!

Tijan delivers another winner with this sequel to Fallen Crest High.
The story continues during their break from school. Sam makes the decision to register at Fallen Crest Public and join their track team, but before that can happen she has to deal with her family issues. If you thought you hated her mom when you read the first book, then you will (as my friend the Grinch said), LOATHE HER BEYOND ALL REASON when you read this book. Sam seems to start having panic attacks more frequently as she starts reliving memories from her past with her mother. I see a whole lot of the bigger picture now and why Sam is why she is and why she uses running to escape her mom and her own mind. Sam has to figure out how to work with her mother (or at least work around her) to keep her from trying to destroy her relationship with Mason.
Mason. Mason. Mason. What do I say about this boy? He's unerringly devoted to Sam. That boy has it so bad for her that she's his number one priority and he would give up his own family for her. Him and Sam are perfect for each other IMO. They're not big chatty people and they read each other well without having to say anything. I love how much Mason is determined to protect Sam but at the same time let her be. The dynamic and the heat between Sam and Mason is off the charts. Can you say lustful teenagers? lol. Just a look or a touch gets them hot for each other instantly! He makes some dramatic decisions that affect the girls she'll be going to school with and Sam has to find some friends to stand with her against her new enemies when she starts school at Public.
"I want the best for you. I don't want to keep you imprisoned to me. I want you to reach your fullest, find friends who really care about you, get a job that you like. I want you to go to school and get a track scholarship. I want you to do all of that in spite of your mother, because if she had your way, you'd never go anywhere. She would ruin it."
Now Logan on the other hand - I'm liking what I see here. In Fallen Crest High, Logan was a lot more carefree and acted like .... well... a tool basically. I thought he was all about girls girls girls and drinking and partying and messing with people. But in this story, we see another side of Logan. We see that he hurts like a normal person and he wants to protect Sam just as much as Mason. Tate is moving back to town which I think will open a whole other can of worms in Fallen Crest Public (which I see should be out around Christmas this year = )))) because Logan (supposedly) still has feelings for her and she's got her eye on him again.
I'm still undecided on Nate (Mason's best friend and the forth member of their foursome). Sam and Logan seem to agree that he's loyal to Mason first and foremost and that's the reason he's friends with Logan and Sam. The story also keeps hinting at a dark side of this boy and I'm curious as to what he'll get up to. After all - he's moving back too! I see all the possible drama stacking up for the next book and once again I'm salivating at the bit to read more of their story. I seriously got no sleep last night when I saw that the book was released, I couldn't stop reading!
Tijan - this is another winner! and I can't wait to read what you publish next!

An emotional, romantic good read

FCM is the eagerly anticipated follow up to Fallen Crest Academy. Tijan does a wonderful job of continuing the series. You don't have to wait a few chapters to get into the book, you are push back into the Fallen Crest world by the second page.
Book 2 in the series does an excellent job of giving the reader insight to why Sam is the way that she is, why she runs for hours at a time. You also get a better understanding of her relationship with her mother.... which is very interesting.
I am still looking for Logan to find that special someone who likes him for himself. Maybe with Fallen Crest Public, expected to be out in December 2013, we could see Logan get that special someone.
I would strongly recommend that you read Fallen Crest Academy first. This way the two stories will blend together and you will have a better understanding and more background on the Sam, Mason, and Logan relationship.
All in all this is a wonderful series and I am looking forward to having book 3 to read over Christmas Break.

I love everything Tijan writes, and the Fallen Crest series is my favorite. The dynamic between all of the characters is amazing, and the new ones fit right in. This story picked up where the first one left off and got even better, I can't wait to read the next one. Thanks Tijan for writing this outstanding series, wish I could give it ten stars!!!:):):)
