Standalone, HEA Story

This is a standalone, HEA story. It coincides with the previous book, Good Girls Do It Better, but you don’t necessarily have to read that book for this one to make sense. I would read it, however, so that you can have a little on the background of what’s going on. Since the author included it for free in this book, skip ahead, read it, and then go back to read this one.

Lexi used to be a good girl, but after her parents died she decided to change into the bad girl. She is always causing trouble, hooking up with a whole lot of men, and not always the nicest. She has always hung out with her sister’s best friend Liam, but has never seen him as more than a friend. However, after one night, she starts to see him differently, but doesn’t know how to handle it.

Liam has been in love with Lexi forever, but she has never given him a second glance. When the time finally arises, he shows her that he wants her and what they can have together. But when his past shows up Lexi flees, but Liam knows it’s now or never. He is determined to show her she’s it for him and he’s it for her.

Will Lexi be able to accept Liam’s past? Will Liam be able to save Lexi before it’s too late?

I would have liked a little more explanation from Lexi’s point of view as to why she always treated her sister badly.

Wow Wow Wow - What a page turner - you will love the continued story of the twins.

This was the sequel to Good Girls Do It Well, which was great. If you haven't read it, I suggest you do. This is the story of Lexi (the wild twin) and Sarabelle (the good twin). The twins lost their parents at a young age and the trauma has effected Lexi more. It has caused her to become a party animal in an effort to mask her hurt and insecurity.

Lexi being the party animal wants to attend the upcoming Gala but does not receive an invitation. When she finds out that her twin Sarabelle receives one, she convinces Sarabelle to go and let her tag along. Sarabelle finally gives in and agrees to go. Lexi insists that Sarabelle get a new dress so that she will not be embarrassed. Family friend Liam has secretly been in love with Lexi but hasn't had the courage to let her know. Another childhood friend, bad boy Kane is at the party and brushes off Lexi when she makes a pass at him. She proceeds to get drunk and starts to leave with someone. Sarabelle is worried for her and gets Liam to stop her from leaving with the guy..

Days later Kade calls and asks her to meet him for a date. He drugs her, takes advantage of her and takes pictures for blackmail.

Lexi meets up with Liam and becomes attracted as she doesn't realize it's hims as he has donned a mask. An old girlfriend interrupts them and she runs away. She is attacked by Kade who thinks she is Sarabelle. Liam rescues her and takes her to him home where she is later kidnapped.

Liam searches for her and ........................................ don't want to spoil the ending. Great love story with lots of twists and turns. Interesting watching the relationship between the twins change and others develop. A great read with some steamy sex scenes.

Bad Girls DO have more fun

This is book 2 in the series and can be read and as standalone.--What a great story about how Billionaire Liam really is in love with Lexi. He is friends with her sister, Saribelle but has carried a torch for her sister instead. Lexi deep down is a good girl/person but when her parents died, she changed and decided to act out, become the bad girl. She did things she wasn’t proud about but that is her way of hurting and acting out. Her sister’s best friend, Liam, was a nice guy to her and she hung out with him. She never saw him as anything but a friend until one night when everything changed and now she doesn’t know how to handle her change of feelings around Liam.
Liam has always been in love with Lexi but she never used to see him but as a friend. When everything changed on that night, Liam spoke up and told her how he felt and what he wanted. When it looked like things would work out, Liam’s past came back. That’s when Lexi fled. Liam isn’t all mild manner and stuff..he is a dominant man but cloaks it well. Lexi is skittish and Liam wants her. Demons and all.. can they work on their past to get to their future? I recommend this story for the great storytelling by the author.

This indefatigable historian is the first to achieve a full-scale follow-through on a remarkable London Register naming every person known to have left Britain for North America between December 1773 and March 1776. From town records, letters and contemporary newspapers, Bailyn describes dangerous ship-passages and arrivals of thousands of Scots, Yorkshiremen and Londoners in Nova Scotia, Carolina, Georgia, Florida and even the Gulf-Delta area. Long, Tedious, but Masterful None-the-less

This book was a challenge to read. The first two hundred and fifty pages are as dull as any social science you're likely to read and the last hundred and fifty pages lack anything like a conclusion or summary chapter. None the less, you have to give credit where credit is due and acknowledge the majesty of this work.

Bailyn, in exhausting detail, uses records maintained by the British crown between 1774-1776 to document the who, what, where and why's of British migration to the colonies in the years immedietaely proceeding the revolution.

His main thesis can be summarized by stating that there were, in fact, two parallel migrations. The first was of unattached, single men from the area around London to the middle states of Maryland and North Carolina. The second migration was of families from the british midlands and Scotland. These migrants used Pennsylvennia and New York as a jumping off point for their population of the back country.

Baiyln backs up the thesis with tons of charts, graphs and maps. This was a much heavier read then I expected.

Good genealogical research tool

Voyagers is an excellent resource for historians and genealogists interested in what brought people to America and kept them here. Social trends in immigrant countries, practices here. It's especially helpful for those of us looking for information about immigration in the early 1700s (1700-1740). A must for your bookshelf. While the bound version is more expensive, it is easier to layout on a copier or scanner to transfer info to your computer.

Common Sense Eating Plan

A friend was following the eating plan (NOT a diet) in this book, so I bought it to read. It makes so much sense and my friend found it easy to follow the hints etc and, she was not hungry or looking for sweet stuff all the time. I also liked the advice to eat proper, natural foods ie butter, full cream milk, olive oil, eggs, meat protein and lots of vegetables. This is what I have always believed but have always been treated as a bit weird by lots of people.
One difficult part of the eating plan is to try to buy foods without additives and preservatives. A sign of the times I guess.

This book is a fantastic guide to modern healthy living. Rather than a diet, it's about adopting healthy lifelong habits one at a time. Cyndi's approach is an interesting blend of traditional common sense and well researched principles. And she writes in an engaging non-judgemental style. I'll be going back to this one on a regular basis!! My first habit change is to not eat after 7PM - seems to be working so far ;-]

This is an excellent read! You can't seem to put it down....from the descriptions of "Why"oming to the awkward dating scenes....it's a true ride in the life of a nice guy in a mean guy world!

Tad...what can I say man you've done a great job.

I read the book in just under 3 days and I was laughing the entire time. You've managed to hit the "nice guy" on the nose. Maybe you can lobby to be an ambassador of sorts! It definitely gave me hope overall as, like you, I've been burned by those women who think they want a nice guy but end up with jerks.

To anyone reading this...buy the damned book! If you're a "nice guy" it will help put things into perspective, and if you're a sexy lady looking for a "nice guy" but don't know where to look than this book might give you some insight in what to look for.

It was also reproduced and published by TAN in 1987.

Classic Catholic Teaching

I read this book every year during lent. It was written in the late 1890's and translated and published in America in the early 1900's. So a couple of social concepts are obsolete (or maybe not) and the English is dated, but the teachings and insights are classic and Catholic. However, it is not a an easy read, and I feel one needs to read it thoughtfully and slowly to really let it sink in. I have found it to be very powerful and enlightening, and best of all it has helped me develop a better understanding of our Lord's suffering and passion. An excellent spiritual read.

I used this as a book for Lenten reflections, prayer and meditations. What I received was a very profound journey through Christ's Passion. The amount of suffering Jesus endured for us, was beyond human. There were times when the knowledge of what Christ was doing and why, had to be so
intense that only His true essence of God and Man could have allowed Him to go on. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand the reasons for Our Lord's deep sacrifice for us.

Thank you Manning Publishers for making this book available to me. It could not have come along at a better time. I was scheduled to do an online Cordova certification and was not feeling particularly comfortable with the study material provided. This book, however, was awesome. The author has an easy writing style with a touch of humour here and there which makes for an easy read.

The author knows his subject very well and is able to relay that knowledge in a clear and concise way that made it very easy for me to gain an understanding of the subject. This book is jam-packed with working examples, which is great.

I would recommend it to anyone, in fact I already have. Any book that imparts at least one pearl of useful information/knowledge is, in my mind, a good book. This one imparts many.

Good, simple and complete

Read the whole book in just a couple days. Did not know anything about Cordova before. Feel I now have a good foundation to build on. Excellent introduction to the technology.
